A Message from the Editor

A Message from the Editor

Michael B. Kastan, Editor-in-Chief

With this issue, we mark the 5th anniversary of Molecular Cancer Research. As we begin our sixth year, we have seen the number of submissions to the journal more than triple and the number of published papers continue to increase, but our commitment to quality in the papers we publish has not wavered. Our mission has been to serve as a forum for important and meticulous research in molecular and cellular aspects of cancer investigation. It is our hope that MCR has become a valuable resource for our readers in the areas covered by the journal and an outlet for critical papers in those fields. We will continue to strive for excellence.

We express gratitude to Drs. Stephen Baylin, Elizabeth Blackburn, Nicholas Dyson, Tyler Jacks, Robert Kerbel, and Frank McCormick as their terms of service as MCR Senior Editors end. Each has faithfully and diligently exercised the duties of Senior Editor and each has been instrumental in the success and continued growth of MCR through their knowledge and expertise. Diligence, dedication, and commitment are important attributes of a Senior Editor and the steady growth and success of MCR can be attributed in large part to the excellent work of all of our Senior Editors.

In maintaining our high standards, we are fortunate that the following individuals have accepted an invitation to serve as Senior Editors, beginning this month:

These scientists bring a wealth of experience and expertise to MCR, and we look forward to their significant contributions to the journal.

We thank the readers for your continued support of MCR. Your suggestions will be invaluable to us as we continue to improve the journal and to remain a vital part of the field of cancer investigations. We look forward to serving you in the coming years.
